If I did not know I had a child and just now found out 3 years later, am I obligated to pay back pay child support?

If you have just been informed that you have a child and it turns out that DNA testing prove such, then it is entirely possible under the laws of all states in this country that a petition could be filed for future and past child support owed and you could be ordered to pay such.
