If I agreed to move in with someone but never did and never signed the lease, will I be legally obligated to pay this person the 3 months rent?
I wasn’t even on the utilities. If this goes to court what can be used as evidence to say I owe him money – text messages, change of address form?

If you had an oral agreement to move in with a person as far as a rental situation goes but never moved in, technically under the laws of all states in this coutnry you would only be obligated for one month's worth of rent.
