If I understand your question correctly, you are asking whether you have a responsibility to pay the rent if your name is on the lease but you did not sign the lease.  The answer is that if you are occupying the place, you have a responsibility to pay rent.  If you agreed to have your name added to the lease, then you have an agreement with the landlord to rent the property.  In the absence of a written agreement between you and the landlord, under the Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (ARS 33-1314), you still have an obligation to pay as rent the fair rental value for the use and occupancy of the dwelling unit.  If the rent is due once per month on the first of the month, you have a month-to-month tenancy (absent an agreement in writing between you).
