You need to speak with an attorney in your state.  Generally speaking you could get in to deep trouble here - the party whom the order is against - if someone turns you in.  These forms of order are called different things in different states.  In New York they can run for a finite period of time and then you have to renew them.  But they can not be "lifted" and you can not even make an application to have them lifted.  They are not lightly put in to place as I am sure tat you know and the courts take them very seriously.  So seek legal help ASAP.  Good luck to you both.
