You may be able to receive unemployment benefits. Employees can receive these (if otherwise eligible--i.e. they've worked enough) if they were "constructively"--or effectively--fired, even if they were never officially terminated. Depending on the exact circumstances, what exactly was said, etc., it may be you have been effectively fired. It would be worthwhile for you to contact the unemployment insurance office and file a claim for benefits if you still do not have work. As long as you are fully honest in your application, even if you are turned down, you should not suffer any negative consequences.
