ADUI stays on both your driving record and criminal record indefinitely (unless you live in one of the few states that allows it to be "expunged" or cleared).
What you might be thinking about is what period of time must pass before a prior DUI is no longer considered for sentencing puposes for a subsequent DUI conviction. By virtue of something known as the "look-back period" a prior offense is not considered in sentencing. For example,�NY has a 10 year look-back period, so if you were to have another DUI in year 11, the punishment for the second DUI would be the same as if it were your first.
