What to do if I was recently ticketed for driving without a license?
I am 19 years old and this is my first time offense, I’ve never been in trouble. I am also a full-time college student and live four hours away from my family so no one will be able to attend my court date with me. What will be my punishment?

Under Virginia Code 46.2-300. If you are convicted under this statute, the first violation is only a class 2 misdemeanor with a penalty of up to 6 months in Jail and a fine of up to $1500.
