What to do if I was recently in the hiring process for a company and feel I was discriminated against?
I passed the first interview, drug test and had the second interview scheduled while waiting on my background check to clear. The background check came back as failed due to my previous driving history, which they do not mention as being a factor for employment at anytime during the hiring process. Only that you must posess a valid driving license, which I do. They did not even attempt to call me and tell me that they canceled my second interview and removed me from candidacy. I also would have been the only male employee at the store level in my area, which consists of 4 cities. I feel I was discriminated against. Does this seem plausible?

I suggest that given the concerns that you have written about as well as the facts stated in the interviewing process where you did not get the job that you wanted and where you feel discriminated against that you consult with your local Department of Fair Housing and Employment and have a face to face meeting with one of its representatives to see if there is a factual and legal basis to make a claim against the company you interviewed with based upon discrimination.
