How long it takes for monies from a Will to be distributed?

My deceased uncle was a priest and unless I miss my guess the dioceses pays for his expenses.

Who pays the expenses has nothing (or very little, at least) to do with how long it takes for a distribution under a will.

Under California law, a petition for final distribution cannot be filed for at least 120 days after someone was appointed the "executor" or "administrator" of the estate.

That's the minimum.  How long it will actually take depends on a number of other factors.

But a safe assumption is that it takes a minimum of 6 - 8 months (usually longer) before a probate can be completed and the assets distributed.
