What to do if I was laidoff 4 months ago and had just prior to being laidoff had a support modification?

My income has changed and I am getting deeper in arrears because I cannot afford to pay both current and past child support. I am paying 25% of my unemployment benefit at just over $500 per month my order is for $800 plus per month. I have been told by the caseworker that because the order was just changed it can not be changed again. Unless I go to through the court. They are threating to take my drivers license. If they do, this will greatly reduce my earning potential.

If you have been laid off post modification of the child support order that you are writing about you need to consult with a family law attorney to see what needs to be done to modify the order in place in order to assist you in changing the order in place.
