What to do if I was involved in an auto accident and the other person didn’t have insurance?

I had my health insurance pay my medical bills. Although I have medical pay on my car insurance, can I double dip and use it too? I had heard you can do it in my state.

No, you *cannot* double dip. The same expense cannot be paid twice by two different insurances. However, if neither one pays 100%, it may be possible to have the each pay a portion. For example: say that your health insurance still leaves you $3,000 out of pocket (co-pays or deductibles)--you may be able get some portion of that from the medical on the car insurance.
