What to do if I was injured at home while using an electric leaf blower?

My fingers were sucked into the fan. The fan plate may have been cracked or broken but sits on the underneath part of the blower out of sight. Two fingers were injured. While I am undergoing hand therapy, one finger will not get any function back.Is this something where I should ask the company for compensation? I am a nurse and use my hands.

If you believe that the product was defective in some way, then seek out the advice of a personal injury attorney in your area.  They will make a determination whether you have a legitimate case for product liability.  If they take the case, they will do so on a contingency basis, meaning they will not get paid until they collect for you.  I would not try to bring a product liability claim without an attorney or try to negotiate with the company yourself.
