If I was hit from behind going through a car wash, is it worth hiring a lawyer to handle my case?

It was the kind that the attendant sends you through. This caused $450 damage to my vehicle. I did not stop because I was not aware they hit me until I got home. The car wash claims I’m at fault and will not pay to repair my car.

It's not worth hiring an attorney, since if your damages were $450, that's the most you could get--and it's almost 100% guaranteed that a lawyer would end up charging $450 or more to handle the case, meaning that even if you win, you could net out behind and lose money.

It may well be worth filing a small claims court action, acting as your own attorney (pro se), since then all you'd be risking is the small (usually around $30) filing fee, and since if the wash did damage your car, there is a reasonably good chance the court would find them liable, or financially responsible.
