What are my rights if a company charged my account without my authorization?

I was dealing with this company’s customer support. I was told that I would receive upgraded repair service on my $600 console at no charge. However, the company still charged my account without my authorization. When I called about the charge it refused to refund the service unless I cancelled my repair. I have the conversation documented, proving what they said. Can I take legal action against the company?

If you cancelled the repair and got the $600.00 charge debited from your account then you have not been damaged per se. However, if this company has a practice of doing what it did to you to others it may be engaging in unfair business ptactices that you can file suit for seeking an injunction. Given the complicate nature of such a claim I suggest that you consult with a business attorney in your locality. One can be found on attorneypages.com.
