hat should I do if I was asked to sign an affidavit to admit negligence for a slip and fall that occurred in my home?
The affidavit states me as the defendant and the complainant’s name. I have homeowner’s insurance but the insurance company is not mentioned at all on this affidavit. The lawyer states that it’s just to make things go quicker whereas the ins. company will make it a long drawn out case. Will me signing the affidavit completely take the insurance company out of ot and have me totally liable? If I do sign, will it harm me?

I suggest that you immediately contact your insurance carrier's representative as to what you have written about and ask that it provide you legal counsel. For you to sign the affidavit could very well cause you to lose possible insurance coverage for the mishap that occurred at you home.
