Without more details it's hard to say for sure but certainly that this is your first offense will weigh heavily in your favor.  Your attorney might be able to get the charges reduce or get you some form of alternative sentencing that would not include prison.

Again, absent more information its hard to give any definitive answer.  What you need to do now is to get yourself a criminal attorney in the area where all of this happened.  Hopefully he can utilize his contacts with the local prosecutor's office to your fullest advantage.
