If I suffered a chemical burn to my eye while stripping the floor at the county jail, what rights do i have as an inmate at this facility?

The jail (and so potentially the county) may be liable for your out-of-pocket (paid by you personally) medical costs and for "pain and suffering" if you suffering significant disability or life impairment lasting weeks or longer IF the jail were at fault in some way, such as by not providing proper supervision or proper safety equipment. If the jail did nothing wrong and you happened to accidentally spray or splash some of the chemical in your eye, they would not be liable.
