What to do if I started working for a small trucking outfit last week and was told to break the hours of services law and the weigh laws but then was pulled over by a DOT and given a $5000 ticket?

I called the boss told him he fired me. Can I sue him for the the ticket and for damages done to my driver’s license?

No, you can't sue your boss. He may have asked you to do this, but you agreed to do so--that is, you agreed to break the law. The law holds people accountable for their own decisions to violate the law, and you cannot receive compensation for your own actions. You do have to be paid your last paycheck, and if not, you may sue him for it e.g. in small claims court, acting as your own attorney. If he is sending you threatening texts, depending on exactly what they say, that may be criminal you may wish to take them to the police and file a police report.
