If I received 2 MIP’s and now have a suspended license, is this legalif the MIP’s have nothing to do with driving?
For both offenses, I went to court, plead guilty and paid my fines. No probation for either, and It wasn’t until two weeks after court that I was notified of this. Shouldn’t they have told me in court?

The reason why you now have a suspended driver's license with respect to the two minor in possession of alcohol or a controlled substance (MIP) is that under many state's statutes if a minor is convicted of a MIP, he or she automatically has a suspended driver's license typically for at least one year.
This seems to have been what happened to you. You are presumed to understand the result of any guilty plea in the criminal justice system.
