If my ex-husband is filing for bankruptcy, will this affect me?

Normally I would not think so but apparently the genius that he is not, has not removed my name from the car that we previously owned together. It has been over five and a half years since the divorce was finalized. I do not know why the car would be a factor in his bankruptcy, unless he used it as collateral. Should I be concerned?

I think that you mean the title to the car, correct?  Because from the way that you have hrased the question it sounds as if ther was no loan on it when you divorced, which is good.  But you should have executed the title transfer when you got divorced and made sure that it was filed.  You will probably be notified in the bankruptcy becuase your name is still on the title but you can sign it over then  Just double check with an attorney in your area as the law in each state differs.  Good luck.
