As a general rule (at least with such packages delivered by US mail although I suspect much the same rules apply to private carriers), anyone who recieves an unsolicited package can do 1 of 3 things: they can keep it, return it or throw it out. Further, they cannot later be charged for the item. However, to keep things simple, you should probably return it. Even if you are not legally responsible for paying for the item, the sender could cause you a trouble and possibly even attempt to affect your credit if the merchadise remains "unpaid".
