How best to handle an harassment citation?

I threw a drink on someone and she said that I hit her with my purse. It was a small wallet on a wrist strap and may have accidentally hit her. I have never had anything like this happen ever. I want to resolve it ASAP so it doesn’t effect my employment.

You should retain a criminal defense attorney if you're concerned about this. A local lawyer--one who knows the prosecutors and judges--will be in a good position to get the charge dismissed or bargained down to the very lowest level possible, with the least record and consequences. The attorney may also be able to attack it if there was some problem with the evidence or some other procedural aspect. If you're serious about dealing with the citation, don't try to do it yourself; let a professional help. And don't talk to the authorities until you've had a chance to first meet with your lawyer; let the lawyer do the talking for you. Good luck.
