I plan on becoming a criminal psychologist and would like to use a professional name different than my legal name, is that possible?

I would like to use my professional name around the office, to patients, on business cards, etc. Essentially anything associated to the business would be signed or printed with the professional name, but my bank account, driver’s license, and other personal effects (including my doctorate) would remain in my current legal name. I’m not planning on keeping my identity a secret from employers or anything like that, of course, I just don’t want to be referred to as “Dr. LegalName” ever, ever, ever. Is this in any way fraudulent?

Not fraudulent, but it may be an issue of your patients don't know either your legal name or, if you are providing services through a company, the legal name of the company.
