If my child is financially self-sufficient, do I still have to pay child support?

I pay child support for my 19 year old daughter and have never missed a payment in 12 years. She now has a good ful- time job with full benefits. She lives with her mom and she is charged rent and fully pays for her needs (car, phone, food, insurance, etc.). Why do I still have to pay support until she is 21?

I am assuming that you are paying pursuant to your divorce agreement, correct? That agreement is a contract and should state the circumstances that would trigger the termination other than just her age (graduation from high school, college, etc.). If you wish it to change what you need to do so to seek to modify the agreement.  Please bring it to an attorney to review.
