The first question that needs to be answered is why do you want to cancel your purchase? If there is a legitimate reason to cance the purchase and take some store credit back, then the owner of the store may allow you to do so.

If you paid by credit card, you may have time to cancel the credit card payment. If you paid by check, you may have time to stop payment on the check.

If the store's position is that all sales are final then you are stuck with the purchase unless the product is defective.
