I got pulled over on a highway for failure to maintain lane. They then smelt weed in my car searched it and found a bottle of opened alcohol and a really small amount of weed but then they just took the alcohol and weed gave me my ticket and told me to leave.

If you go to court, it could be brought up by the ticketing officer if the officer shows up to court. You can avoid the possibility of that issue altogether by simply paying the ticket and see if you qualify for traffic school so it doesn't show up on your insurance.
