I live in a group home and my property got stolen, will the group home cover the stolen property?

What was stolen was a Xbox 360, 5+ games over $30 in value, and 3 games less then $30.

In all likelihood the group home that you reside in has no obligation to reimburse you for the items that you owned that were stolen unless you can demonstrate that an employee of the group home took your property.

Under the law of all states, just because one resides in a complex, the owner of the complex is not responsible for lost or stolen items unless the owner is negligent for allowing the items to be stolen or one of its employees took the items that you have written about.

If you know who took your property, then your action best filed in the small claims court would be best filed against that person.

Good luck.
