What will happen to me if I left the scene of an accident because the person I hit started yelling at me?
The cops have reached out to me and I have a lawyer that is going to speak on my behalf. Another issue is I sold the car that was in the accident, and the cops are asking me to bring it in. Am I charged? Why do the cops want to question me? If they have enough info, why not just charge me?

I suggest that you simply have the lawyer that you retained deal with law enforcement about the accident that you were involved in for the simple fact that you may say something that may harm you later on in a possible criminal matter for leaving the scene of an accident (hit and run). You hired a lawyer to represent you in your matter. Let him or her do their job.
