I have mediation in about 2 weeks to finalize our divorce,do I have a say in who transports our daughter while she is in his care?

My soon to be ex (we are in the final phase of divorce) wants to take our daughter every other weekend, which is fine with me, but he does not have a valid license. He wants his on again off again girlfriend to be appointed as his “driver” when he has our daughter. Do I have the legal right to say no to this?

The upcoming mediation that you will be attending for all intents and purposes is a settlement conference. You are free to make any and all requests concerning custody and transport issues with respect to your daughter. Whether or not your requests are accepted by your "ex" remain to be seen.

I suggest that you have a family law attorney representing your interests and your daughter's at the upcoming mediation.
