I am a 22 year old, my father is a lawyer and I am going to have to tell him very soon. I am looking for any sort of legal advice. Is it possible to file for bankruptcy in my position without the creditors coming after my father? I don’t beleive he co-signed any of them, and the only asset I have is a car lease but am not just a co-signer.

You are an adult at age 22: your father is not responsible for the debts your incur as an adult, except and only to the extent that he guaranteed or co-signed them. If he did not guaranty or co-sign the gambling or other debts, creditors cannot go after your father even if you do not or cannot pay, or file bankrupty.
