Yes, if the owner loses his/her ownership of the home due to, for example, medicare liens or unpaid property taxes, then you may be evicted despite the lease that is because the landlord cannot give you more rights than he/she has, and if the home is taken by the state for these reasons, the landlord loses his/her own right to possess the home, and not having the right him/herself to possess it, cannot give anyone, including you, the right to possesion. Your rights end when your landlord's rights end.
