Can a hospital fire your wife or girlfriend if the hospital messed up on your surgery?

It is certainly possible, even likely, that the hospital will fire her. There is no law that prevents an employer from firing an employee related to or involved with someone who is suing it; unless your girlfriend has an employment contract, she is an employee at will and may be fired at any time, for any reason; and it would make sense for them to fire her, to make sure that she cannot pass on information to you which would hurt their case.
