CanI take legal action againstmy former employerfor letting me go based on an opinionated email?

I got fired for responding to an email from my manager asking what my opinion was on what needs to happen for our retail business to stay afloat. I guess Iwas a little blunt with my words but was completely honest and in no way way trying to get myself in trouble.

Unless you have an employment contract, you were an employee at will. An employee at will may be fired at any time, for any reason--including that a manager or supervisor did not like an opinion you expressed. Therefore, whether or not it was fair, what you describe is legal--you can be fired, if you don't have a contract protecting your job, for an opinionated email, unfortunately.
