If I fell in a drainage ditch at my apartment complex where I reside and suffered miner injuries, can I sue my complex?

You would only be able to sue if there was something "negligent" about the drainage ditch--e.g. it was across a heavily traveled area; the way it was set up, it was almost impossible to see until you fell in; etc.

Also, even there was negligence or fault, you can only sue for an amount related to the extent of your injuries and your medical costs, so it may not be worthwhile bringing a lawsuit for minor injuries.
