What to do if I received a background check from my employer that I have an active warrant on a misdemeanor for obtaining property on false pretenses?

I stayed 3 days in jail. My work paid my bond for $1000. I didn’t know what my case was until the deputy told me i was there because my ex-roommate reported me to the cops for $11. For gas money that she offered to pay me. my question is, does this make sense to you?

No, you are correct: it seems ridiculous. Your employer was very kind and generous to you but I think you had better take the bulls by the horn and go and speak with a criminal attorney on the matter.  I can not imagine that a prosecutor would even entertain this matter.  Please, get help.  Good luck.
