What to do if I delivered my child 2 weeks ago but the hospital never realized that I had not passed all of the placenta?
A week later I began hemmoraging and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. I had to have several units of blood and plasma and an emergency dnc. The doctor said the reason for this was I had not passed all the placeta. Should this have happened? I still have nightmares that I am bleeding to death.

You would need to take your medical records to a personal injury attorney who would send them to a medical expert who would determine for the attorney whether the hospital breached the standard of care when your baby was delivered. However, even if this was malpractice, a determination would need to be made whether your damages were sufficient to warrant the expense of bringing a medical malpractice claim.
