What to do about my job termination and a denial of my unemployment claim?
I was terminated from my job, filed for unemployment but was denied. During the fact finding interview the employer never answered the phone and I was not able to defend myself. My doctor took me off work due to depression and anxiety; I exhausted my FMLA during this time and the employer put me on personal leave. They told me that I would have to return back to work on the18th of last month, if not I would I would recieve a point for each day that I was done until I was terminated. I did not go and see my doctor until the 24th and I would be at max points on the 21st. Do I have any legal action?
