I would take a look at the paperwork you signed when you became a member. Often times you sign a waiver releasing the gym from liability of this sort. If you did not sign such a document than you should probably call a local personal injury attorney and go for a consultation

I also do not know the extent of injury or whether there is any loss of wages etc. Honestly my gut reaction is that you will have a hard time with this but because I am not completely aware of FL laws governing personal injury or the extent of your injury you really need to see an attorney.

Most PI attorneys offer a free ocnsultation so give it a shot and see if maybe you have a shot
