What to do if I am scheduled to appear in court for a 4 point speeding ticket tomorrow morning?
I called the sheriff’s department and was told that due to the floods the courthouse will not be open tomorrow. There is no idea as to when they will be holding court. I was told I would not have a bench warrant issued for myself at this time as there are actually no passable roads into the town itself. How this pertains to due process? Will they drop the ticket or can they issue me another summons at a later date?

Your question is very confusing. A bench warrant for a traffic ticket is imperobable. Your case must be reviewed to determine if the trafffic offense was charged as a criminal offense or as a simple traffic violation. Rules of criminal procedure apply to the al criminal offense whereas, different rules would apply for non-criminal citations.
