What to do if I am renting a house with a 1 year lease and he landlord will not give me the keys to the garage?

He stated he has his personal stuff in it.

I know that this may sound silly but does the lease include the garage or did you just assume that it did?  Read it.  Does it include all buildings on the property?  Or just the driveway?  Is the rent for the area a little lower maybe giving rise to that conclusion?  If you believed otherwise and he represented that to you when you rented then take him to court for a breach of the lease agreement.  Good luck.
