If I’m on probation in a different county for a different case but just got a ticket for illegal transportation of alcohol?

Since I was not arrested, just ticketed, do I have to tell my probation officer about it as police contact?

First let me state that I am one of those people that believes that full disclosure is always best.  Illegal Transportation of Alcohol is also known as an open container violation.  It is also my understanding that it is a petty offense subject to fine and loss of a driver's license when this is not the first offense.  Is it like getting a traffic ticket?  Not exactly.  But is it a violation of probation?  That could depend on the terms of your probation.  Speak with your lawyer.
