My partner and I want to get married however I do not have much time left as the date to return home stamped in my passport is approaching. once we are married, will I be able to stay longer and apply for my correct paperwork or do I have to somehow get a fianc visa before my time is up on my passport? we have been together 3 years but I constantly have to travel back and forth to be with him which is
causing financial hardship. We do not want to separate again; we want to be together forever. However, we only have 2 weeks left on my B2 time allowance in the U.S. but we want to get married next week. I am from the U.K. and he is an American citizen by birth. Can we go ahead and get married and then apply for my correct documents and stay past the original B2 time allowance or do we have to get a fiance visa to get married and be able to stay together in the U.S. after being married

Yes, you can get married and file all your paperwork from within the US without having to depart to the UK. The entire process of adjusting status to permanent residence can be done with USCIS in the US and it usually takes about 5-7 months from filing to approval.
