Wht to do if I’m not sure if I committed fraud or not?

An investigator contacted me about my deceased mother’s foreclosed property. I had her mail forwarded to my address. Letters from debtors I sent back her death certificate so the letters would cease and her info updated. My brother lived in the home up to the foreclosure and tickets were posted on the property for uncleanliness and trash. He claims no responsibility to it but I’m scared. Should I pay the tickets? Should I have not forwarded her mail? Should I get a lawyer?

Since some investigator contacted you about your deceased mother's foreclosed property I suggest that you consult with a real estate attorney about the matter and have the attorney deal with the investigator, not you. If you are not in title to the property that was foreclosed upon then you have no obligation to pay any tickets. I suggest that you let your attorney do what is needed to be done, not you.
