If I’m an F-1 student on a STEM OPT extension, can I simultaneously be a member and an employee of an LLC ?

If not, will becoming a member jeopardize my visa status? I work for an E-verify LLC company. In order to receive “units” from this company I need to become a “member” of the LLC.

If you are an F-1 student without a work permit authorized by the immigration department of this country you cannot work for any company even a limited liabilty company. To do so would be a violation of the conditions of your F-1 student visa.
