Medicare and related benefits (e.g. prescription benefits) are primarily influenced by age (e.g. you have to be old enough to qualify) and secondarily by whether you have other health insurance--the interplay of medicare and other insurance can get complex. Merely starting a business (or being otherwise employed/earning money) should not affect your medicare, etc. so long as you do not start up an insurance plan through your business.
