One possible way to try and resolve the possession of a controlled substance that you are facing is to see if you are eligible for your court's diversion program. If you are and you satisfy the terms and conditions of the diversion program the charge against you most likely will be dismissed where your financial aid eligibility will not be affected.

I suggest that you will be better off retaining a criminal defense attorney to assist you in defending the criminal charge against you.
