I can’t find a tenant to serve her a 5 day notice. She has not been to the house since in about a week, which is the day rent was due. I want to serve her but I am unsure how I am supposed to do it if she can’t be found. Any help would be much appreciated as she is really causing a lot of trouble and needs to be removed.

What you need to determine is whether the 5 day notice that you are trying to serve the tenant with that is being evasive is whether it must be personally served or can it be mailed? If you are trying to serve the notice on her, I would retain a process server to do the service in place of you assuming the notice must be personally served.
In some states the notice to vacate can simply be tacked onto the tenant's door if the notice is to have the tenant vacate the rental. I would first tack the notice on the door and then mail a copy of the notice to the address where the tenant is residing. For further questions I would consult with a landlord tenant attorney.
