How to change the Information on a driver’s license?

My husband recently got his green card but for the last 15 years he had a valid driver’s license under a made up name and birthday. Detail on how he could’ve obtained it is unclear to me he’s stated that it was sold to him long time ago. If he could face any consequences at the time of

applying for a legal one?

I would strongly suggest that if he is now officially a green card holder, he should start fresh and clean and apply for a new driver's license in his real name and throw out the old one and never use it again.
