How should I proceed if I wasn’t at faultfor an accidentand I have a witness in my favor?

I didn’t run a red light; I have a witness in my favor for it. The other insurer hasn’t contacted my witness. I was given a citation for a red light violation by an officer that wasn’t present at the time of the incident. The light wasn’t red when I was going through, the other vehicle was turning left into my lane of traffic. And the lights all turn red/green at the same time.

If you were cited for a traffic violation and believe that you were not at fault, you should attend the traffic hearing with your witness and contest the citation. Given the fact that there was an accident as well, it would do you justice to retain an attorney to represent you at the traffic hearing.

The reason is that if you are found guilty at the traffic hearing, you could very well be held liable in a civil action the the accident.
