Assuming a person has been indicted by a grand jury, an arrest warrant is then issued. The amount of time from when the arrest warrant has been issued and the time of the actual arrest under the warrant varies depending upon the press of business by law enforcement and the difficulty in locating the person for whom the arrest warrant post indictment has been issued.

Potentially a person who has been indicted by the grand jury may not be arrested if evidence comes in after the fact justifying the person who has been indicted not be arrested where the indictment is then recalled.
